Spring/Summer Basketball Camps, Clinics and Leagues

As a service to CYBL players and parents, CYBL has assembled
the following list of Spring/Summer basketball camps, clinics
and leagues in the Chelmsford area.
CYBL does NOT run Spring/Summer basketball camps, clinics
or leagues.
CYBL has no affiliation with any of the camps or clinics
listed on this page. The fact that a specific camp or clinic
is listed on this page is NOT an endorsement of that camp or
clinic by CYBL. It is the responsibility of the player and his/her
parents to investigate each opportunity and base their decision
to attend on those findings. You will need to contact each organizaton
for their camp/clinic details.
Chelmsford-based Spring/Summer basketball opportunities are
listed first, then Lowell-based opportunities. Other Camps,
clinics and leagues are then listed in alphabetical order.
Additional camps, clinics will be added to this list as CYBL
learns of them.

Basketball - NEW for 2008

SPRING Instructional League Basketball is now being
offered by Lion League Basketball for BOYS (Current
Grades 2-4) and GIRLS (2 Divisions: 2008-09 Grades 6-8
and 9-12).

Registration is limited and league play starts soon
(as soon as MARCH 31st in one league), so Lion League
Basketball asks that you please review the information
and register as soon as possible.

High School BOYS 2008 Hoop Camp
Run by Charlie Micol, CHS Boys Varsity Basketball Coach.
Three sessions for different age groups:
Session 1: July 14-17 - Incoming Grades 4-6
Session 2: July 21-24 - Incoming Grades 6-9
Session 3: July 28-31 - Incoming Grades 9-12
Note: 6th and 9th graders have the chance to attend
with either older or younger players, or go to both
sessions.

- Chelmsford Girl's Basketball Clinic (CGBC)

The Chelmsford Girl's Basketball Clinic (CGBC) is designed
to help participants improve basic skills and learn
the fundamentals and techniques of basketball. "How
to" practice and improve will be emphasized. Lectures,
demonstrations, drill stations and games are held daily
under the guidance of the CGBC staff. Incoming ninth
graders interested in trying out for the High School
team this Winter season are especially invited. Advice
and strategies for that tryout process will be provided.

- Chelmsford Summer Youth Hoops
"All programs of the Chelmsford Recreation Department
and Chelmsford Community Education will be managed through
the Community Education Office effective January 7,
2008.
The Community Education Office remains in Chelmsford
High School, and Recreation Department Assistant Muriel
Minkle will continue to staff the Recreation Office
at the Town Offices until further notice. Throughout
the consolidation process, all services will continue
to be provided to Chelmsford residents and those in
the Greater Merrimack Valley Area.
During the transition, we know that there will be questions.

the Chelmsford Youth Basketball League (CYBL) will be
"locking arms" this Winter for some fun events at UMass
Lowell Men's Basketball games, as well as clinics to
be held for CYBL by Coach Barer.
