In the same way that CYBL has developed a reputation as a top quality youth sports program, CYBL is committed to making the very best effort to attain the purpose and goals stated below.

Purpose & Goals: To raise funds in anticipation of the start of a Building Fund.

The Chelmsford Youth Basketball League (CYBL) is currently working toward the goal of beginning the process of constructing its own facility for the youth of Chelmsford for the primary purpose of playing basketball. The structure will not be limited to playing basketball only. It will also provide space for other sports (e.g. Soccer, Volleyball, Wrestling, etc).

At this time the CYBL Building Committee is primarily investigating sites and locations and the availability thereof, with the hope that once they are given an opportunity, with a window of time, to build the structure, then the real work of putting a full plan together will begin.

The help and support of all in the town of Chelmsford will be required to make this venture a successful project. Stay tuned for more information and details. In the event that the program is unable to make this project a reality, the funds that are accumulated will be used to defray future CYBL annual costs.

Why Does CYBL Need Its Own Building? Currently CYBL has over 1,300 participants between grades 2 and 12 consisting of approximately 120 teams playing seven days a week at most of the school gyms in the Town of Chelmsford at a cost of $40,000+ per year.

CYBL can not properly provide the current participants enough time based on the needs of these participants. We are constantly squeezing a little time here and there to make sure that everyone gets their fair share of playing and proactice time, but there never seems to be enough time or space available.

A new building would certainly give CYBL the opportunity to relieve this burden and better provide the town with an answer to this need.
