Mini-Mites, Mites & Cadet Divisions
(Boys & Girls)
There will be Coaches Clinic for Mini-Mites, Mites and
Cadet Boys and Girls Division Coaches held before the season
begins.
Where: Harrington School
When: November 15, 2011
Time: 7:00-9:00 P.M.
This clinic will be geared specifically for Mini-Mites, Mites, and Cadet-level coaches. The primary goal of this clinic is to provide guidance to new coaches and to offer a refresher for experienced coaches.
Among the key areas that this clinic will focus on include:
- Overview of basic basketball fundamentals: passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding skills, defensive techniques
- Sample drills (offensive and defensive) for appropriate ages/facilities
- Effective practice and game planning techniques
- Running effective practices
- Sample drills for appropriate ages/facilities
Many other coaching techniques will also be discussed.
Please make every effort to attend this clinic.

JUNIOR Boys & Girls Divisions
There will be Coaches Clinic for the JUNIOR Boys and Girls Divisions Coaches held before the season begins. The clinic will be run by Charlie Micol, CHS Boys Varsity Basketball Coach.
Where: Harrington School
When: November 17, 2011
Time: 7:00-9:00 P.M.
Among the key areas that Coach Micol will focus on are:
- Practice planning and running effective practices
- Practice drills (passing, shooting, rebounding, defensive techniques)
- Basic offenses against zone and man-to-man
- Man-to-man defensive techniques
- Zone defenses
- Out-of-bounds plays
